Visual details
The comic begins outdoors, where Ti is praised by a man and by several people for being helpful and doing volunteer work. A woman thanks him for his input, and another man appreciates his help. Ti feels delighted by the many expressions of gratitude. He then tries to use those thanks to pay for his mother’s ICU care, groceries and a 2 BHK home. Each person he asks gives a different response, while making the same point: gratitude is meaningful, but it cannot replace money when paying for essential goods and services. In the final wide panel, Ti sits sadly on the steps beside Mi, thinking about the limits of thanks when real problems need practical solutions.
