A. M. A. Ayrookuzhiel: 30th Death Anniversary Commemoration

The 30th Death Anniversary of Reverend A. M. A. Ayrookuzhiel will be on Sunday, 29 November 2026. One of the most important objectives of the Sunil Abraham Project is to document the biography and works of A. M. A. Ayrookuzhiel. This event page documents the planning, progress, and key details related to the commemoration.

In the coming months, related content and articles will be developed as part of this effort. Version 3.0 of the Sunil Abraham Project is scheduled to launch on Sunday, 29 November 2026. An in-person event and exhibition will also be held in Bengaluru, Karnataka on the same day.

A bulletin will be published monthly on the 15th of each month, from April through Sunday, 15 November 2026. Each bulletin will carry news and updates related to the event, alongside stories and anecdotes from A. M. A. Ayrookuzhiel’s life.

Background

The Sunil Abraham Project was started on Sunday, 2 October 2025. From the beginning, the project has prioritised content related to A. M. A. Ayrookuzhiel. Our first featured article showcased on the main page was A. M. A. Ayrookuzhiel’s biography. In November 2025, during the 29th death anniversary month, we started Portal:A. M. A. Ayrookuzhiel.

For the upcoming 30th death anniversary, Sunil Abraham, the founder of the Sunil Abraham Project, along with his brothers and family members, envisioned a larger and more meaningful commemoration this year. On Saturday, 29 November 2025, on the 29th death anniversary, Sunil Abraham posted on his social media accounts:

“In preparation for the 30th anniversary next year, …. started gathering his life and writings in a new digital portal: https://sunilabraham.in/amaa/portal/. We are hoping that this will be a comprehensive archive of all his research outputs and also a collection of personal artefacts that may be of interest to colleagues, friends and family.”
